by Charelene · Online · v1.0.1
FH2MP 1.0.1 restores community multiplayer for Forza Horizon 2 Xbox One on PC through Azimuth, using matchmaking and its own replacement online servers.
Features: Car Meets, Online Free Roam, Road Trips, races, Rivals, leaderboards, Car Clubs, designs and tune sharing, and photo sharing/search. Version 1.0.1 adds an offline solo mode that shares your FH2MP account save, plus a Save Manager for importing/exporting Azimuth saves and restoring backups.
Install: Download the current Windows or Linux FH2MP Launcher from the official releases. Point it to the folder containing azimuth.exe, register your gamertag, save your private recovery code and press PLAY. The launcher manages its signed FH2MP mod, FH2 Mod Platform and Extra Options; do not manually install the standalone shim ZIP.
Requirements: Your own FH2 Xbox One build 1.0.0.64, Azimuth 0.9.10, FH2 Mod Platform 2.7.2+ and Extra Options 0.2.98. The launcher can fetch compatible dependencies. Windows 10/11 or Linux with Proton/Wine.
Compatibility: The FH2MP mod now loads through FH2 Mod Platform (fh2-mods/FH2MP.dll) alongside other platform-based mods. Online play uses FH2MP's server car database, so car-pack database changes may be disabled online. Avoid mixing unrelated multiplayer network replacements without confirmed support. FH2MP is community-made and can have desyncs or unfinished features.
FH2 support: Experimental
FH2MP 1.0.1 stable release (October 25, 2026). Multiplayer is operational but community-run; desync and some bugs remain. Launcher automatically manages signed updates. Some custom car databases are disabled in online sessions.
