1985 Mazda RX-7 FC3S

This mod adds the 1985 Mazda RX-7 FC3S from *Forza Motorsport 5* to *Forza Horizon 2* on PC. The car was converted using the FM5 Car Importer and is available as an add-on, meaning it does not replace any existing vehicle.

Features

•Fully drivable car.

•Functional pop-up headlights.

•Working headlights and taillights that illuminate the road at night.

Known Issues

•The windshield wipers are currently non-functional.

•The car may appear without a name in the Mazda section of the car selection menu.

Requirements

•Forza Horizon 2: Xbox One version 1.0.0.64 running on PC.

•Azimuth: version 0.9.10.

•FH2 Extra Options: a compatible version is required.

•FH2 Mod Platform: version 2.7.2 (API 8) or a compatible newer version, if using the platform installation method.

Installation

Choose ONE installation method. Do not use both simultaneously.

Method 1 — Traditional Installer

1. Close Forza Horizon 2 and Azimuth.

2. Extract the entire ZIP archive into a folder of your choice. Do not copy individual files directly into the game's folders.

3. Open PowerShell in the extracted folder and run the following command:

powershell.exe -NoProfile -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File ".\Install.ps1" -GameRoot "C:\PATH\TO\FH2\Anthem_1.0.0.64_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe" -AzimuthRoot "C:\PATH\TO\AZIMUTH"

4. Replace the example paths with your actual game and Azimuth directories. GameRoot must contain the Mount folder, while AzimuthRoot must contain azimuth.exe.

5. Follow the installer's instructions and launch the game through Azimuth.

Method 2 — FH2 Mod Platform

1. Close Forza Horizon 2 and Azimuth.

2. Use the platform-compatible release package, not the traditional installer ZIP.

3. Extract the ZIP into your Azimuth folder, preserving the archive's folder structure.

4. Make sure RX7FC85.dll is inside the fh2-mods folder and the platform's d3dcompiler_47.dll is next to azimuth.exe.

5. If you already have a newer compatible version of FH2 Mod Platform installed, keep it and follow the platform's instructions for adding the mod.

6. Launch the game through Azimuth.

Important Notes

•Set Car Detail to High or Ultra in the graphics settings for the pop-up headlights to animate correctly.

•Other imported cars and mods may conflict if they modify the same game files or database entries.

•Both installation methods modify overlapping files and database entries. Using both simultaneously may cause conflicts, crashes, or an inconsistent game installation.

•Before switching methods, completely uninstall the current version. The traditional installer creates a backup in the game's mod-backups folder; keep it in case you need to uninstall the mod.
